Georgina Campbell

Testimonials and Press

Some nice people have said some lovely things about my work. Here’s a selection:

I gave Georgina a small task to begin with covering ‘5 things to do in January’.  From there she has progressed to cover articles on fashion, gardening and interiors.  She is willing to turn her hand to any subject and is thorough in her research and clearly professional when it comes to meeting deadlines.

Georgina’s creative writing is quirky and is of the style that engages our young, eager, trend conscious reader.  If in the future if we were to employ a writer, Georgina would be our first consideration.

– Gemma Philbin, Assistant Editor, Nktbe Magazine

She was a lively, mature, independent young lady who fitted in instantly and interacted well with the rest of the team. She was eloquent and undertook the tasks asked of her with confidence. She came up with ideas, carried out several writing assignments and, without prompting, undertook research required. She worked well on her won and was a pleasure to have around the office.

Georgie’s copy was clean and accurate and I feel sure she has the makings of a good journalist.

– Debbie Tweedie, Magazines Editor, Cambridge Newspapers

She was very willing and quickly became part of the team, carrying out interviews and writing up copy as requested.

Georgina also used her own local contacts to bring in stories which were printed in the News.

– John Deex, Deputy Editor, Cambridge Evening News

She is thorough, enthusiastic and willing to undertake everything that is thrown at her as well as being highly efficient when dealing with a number of stories at once.

Her writing style was clear and concise and despite the fact that she has not learnt shorthand she was able to navigate her way through stories sufficiently.

Her approach to talking to members of the public was very professional and people felt both willing and able to speak to her about their lives. She has an innate questioning ability and a determined attitude both of which make her an ideal candidate for a future position in journalism.

– Catherine Atkinson, Reporter, Ely Standard
